Wednesday

11:29 am, 10 February 2010
Temperature: 39 F, drizzling

Six ducks out again. Came up almost to the house when the feed was being prepared; ran 'em off so as not to unduly alarm the rabbits or risk a baby rabbit being eaten. Fed sheep, then poultry - usual scrum with the sheep. Let them fight it out as it kept the birds busy while taking care of rabbits.

Gave the rabbits extra hay so they can eat more and use some for nesting due to the drizzle. Minnow's babies are in a different location than last night but still under cover; one is definitely still alive, couldn't tell much about the rest. Live in hope, die in despair.

Another goose egg collected this morning.
